The polis AWARD for urban and project development recognizes projects that contribute to the public good of a city beyond their own scope. As general contractor, NUSSLI realized the temporary concert hall and, on the same site, the other modular buildings for the Munich City Library, the Munich Adult Education Center, and the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts.

The Austria Pavilion was distinguished several times at the Dubai Expo especially for its sustainability and energy efficiency. The interplay of local building tradition and intelligent air-conditioning technology from Austria makes it possible to largely dispense with conventional air-conditioning technology even in the hot desert climate. The energy demand could be reduced by more than 70 percent compared to similar buildings. The pavilion was constructed by NUSSLI following plans by the architects of Querkraft.

And one further prize for the Austrian Expo Pavilion in Dubai. Thanks to its tactile clay plaster surfaces, the leafy roof rustling in the wind and the omnipresent interplay of light and shadow, the building appeals to all the senses. And it is particularly sustainable and energy efficient at the same time. The pavilion was constructed by NUSSLI following plans by the architects of Querkraft.
