Arosa ClassicCar, Arosa
The 22nd ClassicCar took place in Arosa from September 3 to 6, 2026. Up to 200 classic cars drove the 7.3-kilometer route from Langwies to Arosa, which featured 76 curves and a 422-meter elevation gain. To allow the public, guests, and the media to experience the hill climb up close, NUSSLI constructed several grandstands, a footbridge, and various viewing platforms.
4 Days of Motorsports
The event kicks off on Thursday with the opening ceremony and a parade of cars through Arosa. Then everyone will have a chance to see the cars up close. Practice takes place on Friday, and the races are held on Saturday and Sunday.
On the road since 2005
The hill climb has been held since 2005 and has become an event known far beyond Switzerland’s borders. The race takes place on the closed cantonal road between Langwies and Arosa. Arosa is located at 1,775 meters, and the course has gradients of up to 12 percent. A unique feature: It is the only hill climb course in Switzerland with a downhill section. For 1.2 kilometers, the course runs downhill at times.
Best Spots on the Mountain
In the NUSSLI grandstands, the audience sits right in the thick of the action—not just in front of a screen. The walkway spans the racetrack, and the platforms for VIP guests, announcers, and cameras ensure that everyone has the perfect spot to watch the race.
Setup in Arosa
Arosa is located at an elevation of 1,775 meters in the Grisons mountains, and it is precisely this setting that makes the Arosa ClassicCar so special. To allow the public, guests, and the media to experience the race up close, NUSSLI has set up the grandstands, the footbridge, and the podiums right next to the track.
At the Arosa ClassicCar, all the structures remain in place for the duration of the event, from practice through the final race. After the race, everything is taken down again, and in the end, Arosa looks just as it did before—only the memories of the race remain.
