25 years of Expo experience: NUSSLI completes five pavilions for the World Expo in Osaka

The World Expo 2025 will take place in Osaka from April 13. NUSSLI has realized the national pavilions of Switzerland, Austria, Uzbeki-stan, Brazil and Kuwait.

Monheim am Rhein and NUSSLI celebrate completion of Europe's largest sports hall

The eight-bay sports hall, built by NUSSLI as general contractor, was officially inaugurated in Monheim am Rhein, Germany. Currently Europe's largest sports hall, it was handed over on March 31 and is now available for use by the comprehensive school on Berliner Ring, the Otto Hahn Gymnasium, and local clubs.

NUSSLI brings Brazilian flair to Expo 2025

NUSSLI, a company based in the Swiss canton of Thurgau, has landed another inter-national contract for Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan: the interior construction of the Brazil-ian pavilion. This marks the fifth national pavilion that NUSSLI will be realizing at world's fair, alongside those of Switzerland, Austria, Uzbekistan, and Kuwait. The project will be carried out in collaboration with the NOE Group as the Main Con-tractor.

The big ski festival, the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Saalbach 2025

The Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn ski region is hosting the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships Saalbach 2025 in February and is expecting more than 150,000 spectators and over 600 athletes from around 70 nations. NUSSLI is helping to make this major sporting event a “ski-mad” winter highlight with the right event structures.

Handball spectacle at the Unity Arena in Oslo

The eyes of the handball world were on the Unity Arena in Oslo during the final of the 29th IHF Men's Handball World Championship 2025. NUSSLI transformed the multi-purpose hall into a handball arena with around 13,384 seats for the gold medal match and other games.

NUSSLI is building the arena for the Swiss Wrestling Jubilee Festival in Appenzell

From September 6-8, 2024, Appenzell will be the venue for the Swiss Wrestling Jubilee Festival, which only takes place every 25 years. The weekend will culminate on Sunday, September 8, when the country's top 120 wrestlers will face off against each other. The experienced professionals from NUSSLI have planned and constructed the temporary arena.

NUSSLI builds the “Katharinen Tower” in Zurich

A 40-meter-high tower in the middle of Zurich is to commemorate the role of women in the Middle Ages right up to the present day. It will be erected in honor of the last abbess of the Fraumünster, Katharina von Zimmern, who handed over the Fraumünster Abbey to the city of Zurich 500 years ago during the Reformation. The opening of the tower took place on August 20, 2024, and the installation will be on display until December 10.

NUSSLI Builds Interim Venue for the Kassel State Theater

The traditional city of Kassel, home to the oldest permanent theater building and the Kassel State Orchestra, is launching a major project: the State Theater will be renovated from the 2025/2026 season, which is why the city of Kassel has commissioned NUSSLI to build an interim venue. The go-ahead for the project was given last Monday and construction is due to be completed in 15 months. NUSSLI is relying on precise construction planning and sustainable processes to ensure that the project is completed on schedule.
