Big Air Festival Chur 2022 - The Kick for Flights of Fancy
Once again, the freeski and snowboard world looked to Chur. And everything was centered around the 140 m long and 40 m high ramp, which kicks freeskiers and snowboarders up to 24 m into the air. On the stage next to it, Deichkind, Kraftklub, Busta Rhymes and other acts heated up the audience. NUSSLI planned and constructed the ramp, the music stage and other festival infrastructures for the event in October at the Obere Au sports complex in Chur.
Sustainability in Stadium Construction
"White Elephants" are the names given to sports venues that are left as ghost towns after their use. Why? Because they were often planned for just one event and are completely oversized for the subsequent use of the local population, as no thought was given to further use or deconstruction. With the "National Athletics Center" for the IAAF World Championships in Athletics 2023 in Budapest, NAPUR Architekten and NUSSLI show that modern stadium construction can function differently today – with foresight and sustainability.
