NUSSLI has already built the arena 20 times over. The first NUSSLI ESAF in Zug was in 1961.
The grandstand will now, once again be built in Zug, this time, however, with twice as many spectator seats.

In 2019, NUSSLI will be building the world's biggest national wrestling festival arena.

According to annual figures, Burgdorf and Estavayer once housed 52,013 and 52,016 seats respectively - the "Zug arena", however, will be able to accommodate 56,000 spectators. It will be the word's biggest temporary grandstand arena for the Eidgenössische Schwing- und Älplerfest (ESAF) (National Wrestling and Alpine Festival). NUSSLI has, together with the organizational committee ESAF Zug 2019, optimized the grandstands and was able to facilitate more seats on the same arena surface.

NUSSLI has already built the arena 20 times over. The first NUSSLI ESAF in Zug was in 1961. The grandstand will now, 58 years later, once again be built in Zug, this time, however, with twice as many spectator seats.

Construction of the "Zug arena" will begin in mid June, 2019, just in time for "the bad boys" to enter the saw dust ring on August 23rd. Each one of them with the goal of being crowned the new wrestling king following the event's final day on August 25th.
