Bavaria Sounds: Professionals are planning and building for the three largest concert events in Germany

In 2022, concerts will finally take place again - really big concerts. The three absolute biggest in Germany took place in Munich in August. All eyes were on Andreas Gabalier, Helene Fischer and Robbie Williams. Event specialist NUSSLI was responsible for the grandstands.

September 2022

100,000 to even 150,000 visitors were at each of the three concerts on the open-air grounds of Messe München-Riem for Bavaria Sounds. The majority celebrated while standing. For around 30,000 fans, NUSSLI built seats on five grandstands. In cooperation with Leutgeb-Entertainment Group, the idea was born that no spectator should sit further away than in a large football stadium. Therefore, the stands were arranged in a fanned shape, and in fact nowhere was the distance to the stage more than 168 meters. All over the site there were also a total of 2000 square meters of LED screens, which projected the concerts up close to the last corner of the venue.

Klaus Leutgeb from Graz and his team are organizing the gigantic spectacle. He wants to establish Munich "as one of the most important venues for the international music scene, comparable to the open-air series in London's Hyde Park." And to do so, he's gathered a large number of specialists for the job. For lights and sound, for planning, setup and logistics. Because only with professionals can such a major project succeed. NUSSLI was chosen to construct the grandstand. The event specialist's many years of experience and, in particular, the flexible and sustainable system material, which is used time and again in the construction of a wide variety of grandstands, were the deciding factors in the end.
