Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix, Zandvoort

more project-details

After 36 years, the Formula 1 circus returns to Zandvoort in the Netherlands under the name "Heineken Dutch Grand Prix." NUSSLI installed three grandstands with a total of 35,000 seats for the race with the fantastic coastal circuit.

The NUSSLI project teams already started on site in late July and set up the spectator infrastructures: two NT grandstands with roughly 12,000 seats and a premium grandstand for a further 11,000 spectators.

The grandstands are up to 14 meters high and had to meet the stringent requirements of a permanent building in terms of wind pressure. After all: Known for its fast, tight corners and challenging changes in elevation, the Zandvoort Circuit runs right along the Dutch North Sea coast and is set amidst the dunes. For that reason, another 500 tons of ballast material were added to the 1400 tons of installed material. In addition, sales booths and WC facilities were created beneath three grandstands.
