In April 2018, the aerospace industry met at the leading innovation trade show ILA in Berlin. As the largest commercial exhibitor, Airbus presented its extensive product portfolio and numerous new products. Airbus Defence and Space ceremoniously unveiled the first 1:1 model of the future European MALE RPAS drone system. On behalf of VRPE Team GmbH, NUSSLI constructed a special structure in the form of an open hangar consisting of 32 metric tons of system material for the event over an area of 32 x 24.5 meters. The greatest challenge was the integration of sectional doors into a total of 28 meters of bridging.
