At the ATP 250 Mallorca Championships, top international tennis meets a unique setting: The tournament is played on outdoor grass courts. NUSSLI has been providing the spectator and event infrastructure for several editions of the tournament. Its services range from the large main grandstand and VIP boxes to platforms for the press, commentators, TV crews, and people with limited mobility.
2,982 seats right next to Center Court
At the heart of the spectator infrastructure is the 41-meter-wide main grandstand. It offers 2,982 seats, providing ample spectator capacity right next to Center Court. The grandstand is open-air and blends seamlessly into the open atmosphere of the tournament, which is played on grass. With the main grandstand, NUSSLI is not only creating additional seating for tennis fans. The structure also serves as the spatial centerpiece of the spectator areas and ensures that the action on the court can be viewed from an elevated vantage point.
VIP boxes for 354 guests
In addition to traditional spectator seating, NUSSLI’s scope of services also includes hospitality infrastructure. In the first VIP area, 27 boxes were constructed, each with six seats. The second VIP area includes an additional 32 boxes, each with six seats. Together, the two areas comprise 59 VIP boxes with 354 seats. Behind the second VIP section, an additional VIP grandstand expands the hospitality areas by 128 additional seats. In this way, the infrastructure combines different types of spectator experiences—from traditional grandstand seats to the exclusive box seating area.

Infrastructure for Media and Tournament Operations
In addition to spectator seating, an international tennis tournament requires space for media coverage and day-to-day tournament operations. For this reason, NUSSLI constructed additional platforms for the press and commentators, as well as a TV platform. Platforms were also created for people with limited mobility. In this way, the infrastructure accommodates different user groups and requirements that go beyond traditional grandstand construction.

NUSSLI builds structures for a wide variety of tennis tournaments—whether played on grass or hard courts, outdoors or indoors. Its solutions range from spectator stands and VIP areas to platforms for the media, television, and tournament operations. Projects such as the Swiss Indoors Basel, the BOSS OPEN in Stuttgart and the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell demonstrate NUSSLI's wide-ranging experience in international tennis. In each case, the infrastructure is tailored to the specific conditions of the tournament, the location, and the venue.
