This year, the batteries of the electric race cars are once again fully charged. It is now impossible to imagine the world of motor sports without the international Formula E Championship. On May 19, 2018, the racing series returned to the historic Tempelhof Airport in Berlin.
The location provided the perfect backdrop for the adrenaline-packed races on the circuit. NUSSLI equipped the former airport with all event structures: Multiple grandstand systems with a total of 8,600 seats, a double-barreled pedestrian bridge, as well as other advertising and cable bridges, start and finish towers, and the winners' podium.
The assembly of the system materials was no mean feat: Precise coordination between the trade groups was essential due to the work being done on the circuit at the same time. Particular care was also necessary during construction, as it was a listed historic location.
