13,500 parts for the Red Bull BC One World Final 2018
On 29 September, the finale of the world's most renowned Breakdance Battle took place in the Hallenstadion in Zurich. As a partner of the Hallenstadion, the NUSSLI team erected a grandstand with 1,800 seats directly around the dance floor.
In cooperation with the client Jeff Zürich GmbH and the fire authority, a grandstand system was planned which allows a close-up experience and at the same time does not block escape routes. The planning phase was not only very important for ensuring safety, but also for the installation team, which only had a 24-hour construction window.
Breakdance is a type of dance that originated on the streets as part of the New York hip-hop movement of the early 1970s. Today, Breakdance demands a high level of discipline from the dancers, who often need to have athletic skills.
There are 16 highly contested places to be won in the world finals. The winners of the 28 national competitions competed for a place in the final and together with 15 finalists chosen by a jury, they formed the 16 finalists who danced for victory.
