The Internationaux de Strasbourg is one of the most historic women’s tennis tournaments in Europe, and as a WTA 500 tournament, it plays a key role in preparations for the French Open. For this international clay-court tournament, NUSSLI built the temporary spectator facilities surrounding Center Court, creating ideal conditions for top-level tennis in front of sold-out stands.
Temporary Tennis Arena
Every year, the Internationaux de Strasbourg attracts top international female players and tennis fans from around the world. To host the WTA 500 tournament, NUSSLI erected three temporary grandstands with a total of 2,700 seats. The modular spectator facilities expanded the capacity of Center Court and ensured optimal viewing conditions throughout the tournament. Thanks to the flexible modular design, the grandstands could be efficiently adapted to the tennis complex’s layout and completed on schedule.

Infrastructure for Live Broadcasts
In addition to the spectator stands, NUSSLI also built the camera platforms for the tournament’s television broadcast. These platforms provided optimal camera positions, ensuring that the games could be broadcast worldwide in high quality. The combination of spectator infrastructure and media solutions demonstrates how temporary event structures can integrate the diverse requirements of an international sporting event and create ideal conditions for both the on-site audience and TV production.

Event Production for International Tennis Tournaments
With projects for international tennis events, NUSSLI has many years of experience in the construction of temporary spectator facilities. These include, among others, the Mutua Madrid Open, the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell as well as the Bad Homburg Open. The experience gained from these annual events also contributes to the organization of the Internationaux de Strasbourg and ensures flexible, safe, and cost-effective solutions for tournaments at the highest competitive level.
