NUSSLI took care of the entire temporary event infrastructure for the Ironman Marbella at Puerto Banús Beach. Under the hot sun and in the middle of the tourist-packed beach, the team erected stages, grandstands, and visitor areas. The goal was to provide athletes, spectators, and the media with a safe, comfortable, and impressive event infrastructure.
Assembly on the beach
The structure was erected on a public beach section that remained accessible to tourists throughout the entire preparation period. The summer temperatures and high visitor numbers placed special demands on logistics, safety, and coordination. Within just 11 days, NUSSLI coordinated the deployment of 27 employees, 13 transport vehicles, and over 220 tons of material to deliver the temporary infrastructure on schedule.

Event infrastructure for top athletes and spectators
NUSSLI erected four pedestrian bridges along the route to ensure safe visitor guidance. The home stretch was equipped with a 1,500 m² platform that served as a stage for presentations and award ceremonies as well as a finish area. Two grandstands with a total of 320 seats offered spectators comfortable viewing areas. Ramps bridged differences in height, while two covered stages enabled shows and presentations to be held.
Media areas with press stands were integrated to ensure professional reporting. The modular architecture allowed for flexible adaptation to the conditions of the public beach.

Safe, comfortable, spectacular
One highlight of the project was the well-thought-out combination of open spectator areas, covered grandstands, and strategically positioned VIP areas. Temporary pedestrian bridges and ramps ensured barrier-free access and enabled all visitors to navigate smoothly between the start, track, and finish line. Covered grandstands and platforms offered protection from the sun and wind, while exclusive viewing angles in the VIP and guest areas created an outstanding event experience for guests, partners, and the media. Despite the public accessibility of the beach, NUSSLI was able to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-structured event.
