For the first time ever, Formula 1 sailing made a stop in Germany: Germany SailGP transformed Sassnitz on Rügen into an international hotspot. Over 10,000 spectators watched the high-speed races at world-class level – made possible by NUSSLI's professional implementation of temporary grandstands, platforms and infrastructure.
Safe grandstands and structures from NUSSLI
NUSSLI took on the task of setting up the temporary event infrastructure and ensured that everything ran smoothly and with maximum safety. Four grandstands, including two on the pier, a large entrance portal, a platform and LED chairs were installed on schedule. In close coordination with TÜV Thüringen, all structures were checked for wind loads and stability so that spectators could enjoy the race safely.

Experience sailing up close
Against the picturesque backdrop of the chalk cliffs, Germany SailGP offered fast-paced races right in front of the grandstands. Visitors experienced the high-speed catamarans up close, while Team Germany celebrated a victory in the first race of the day. The combination of professionally constructed infrastructure and exciting competitions made the weekend a complete success for spectators and organisers alike.

Another highlight on the international stage
NUSSLI also successfully implemented the temporary event infrastructure for the SailGP Switzerland Grand Prix in Cologny. Both projects demonstrate the company's expertise in staging spectacular sailing events with safe, functional, and audience-friendly structures at an international level.
