FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, Hahnenkamm Race
Since 1931, the legendary Hahnenkamm Race on Kitzbühel’s local mountain has attracted ski fans from all over the world. Featuring the downhill, combined, and super-G events on the Streif, as well as the slalom on the Ganslern slope, the race is considered one of the sporting highlights of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup. For many years, NUSSLI has been providing the temporary infrastructure that makes this event an unforgettable experience.
A Grand Stand for Great Sports
The legendary Streif downhill course demands spectacular infrastructure: a spacious finish-line grandstand accommodates thousands of spectators, provides clear sightlines, and perfectly captures the fans’ excitement. Every grandstand, podium area, and spectator platform is temporarily erected, precisely aligned with the course layout, and offers an impressive experience for all the senses.
Focus on Sustainability
All event structures are designed to be temporary: they are erected specifically for the race and dismantled without leaving any trace after the event. This approach allows for impressive spectator experiences right at the racecourse without causing long-term damage to the alpine landscape. Materials and structures are selected so that they can be reused and recycled.
Part of the international ski scene
The Hahnenkamm Race is one of several top international events in the Ski World Cup. Similar requirements regarding infrastructure, safety, and the spectator experience also apply to other prestigious races such as the Lauberhorn Race in Wengen or the Ski World Cup in Zauchensee. NUSSLI’s proven expertise in the planning and implementation of temporary event architecture ensures a consistent, high-quality experience for fans and athletes alike at all of these races.
