FIA Formula E Berlin E-Prix
Since 2015, NUSSLI has been building temporary event infrastructure for the FIA Formula E Berlin E-Prix, supporting one of the most significant motorsports events in the German capital. As an internationally experienced event construction specialist, NUSSLI plans and builds temporary grandstands and event structures for the all-electric racing series. Whether in the heart of the city center on Karl-Marx-Allee or on the grounds of the former Tempelhof Airport, NUSSLI ensures a high-performance infrastructure along the race track through precise planning, short construction times, and modular designs.
Customized solutions along the race track
For the FIA Formula E Berlin E-Prix, NUSSLI is constructing a comprehensive temporary infrastructure along the race track. This includes grandstands with a total of approximately 8,600 seats, advertising and pedestrian bridges, camera platforms, and the winner’s podium. The temporary structures provide optimal conditions for spectators, the media, hospitality areas, and international TV productions.
The modular structures are precisely tailored to the specific requirements of each racetrack and venue. Grandstands provide an unobstructed view of the race, while bridges and platforms serve key functions for visitor flow, broadcasting, and event organization. At the same time, all structures must meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and efficiency.
Temporary infrastructure in the heart of Berlin
In 2016, the Berlin E-Prix route ran along Karl-Marx-Allee in the heart of Berlin. For NUSSLI, this meant constructing a temporary event venue under extraordinary conditions: the infrastructure had to be built along one of the city’s main thoroughfares in just two weeks.
Despite limited space and demanding logistical requirements, temporary grandstands, bridges, and production platforms were completed exactly on schedule. The modular structures blended seamlessly into the urban environment while meeting the high standards of an international motorsports event.
Motorsports at Tempelhof Airport
Since 2017, the Berlin E-Prix has once again been held on the grounds of the former Tempelhof Airport. The expansive site offers ideal conditions for the temporary street circuit and the associated event infrastructure. Year after year, NUSSLI implements customized solutions here for spectator areas, media production, hospitality zones, and event operations. The requirements are constantly changing: track layouts are adjusted, spectator zones are expanded, and technical requirements are refined. Thanks to its modular construction approach, NUSSLI can respond flexibly to these changes and efficiently adapt the temporary infrastructure to new conditions.
Motorsports expertise in action around the world
The Berlin E-Prix is one of many motorsports projects that NUSSLI carries out around the world. In addition to the Formula E race in Berlin, NUSSLI has also, for example, built extensive temporary infrastructure for the Las Vegas Grand Prix There, large-scale grandstands and hospitality facilities were built along the spectacular street circuit through Las Vegas.
The experience gained from international motorsports projects is directly applied to the implementation of the Berlin E-Prix. NUSSLI combines modular construction with efficient project management to create temporary event infrastructure that is precisely tailored to the requirements of modern motorsports events.
