BMW Guggenheim Lab

The BMW Guggenheim Lab, a temporary structure in the style of a pavilion, was considered a wandering research space. The mobile structure demonstrated concepts, ideas, and designs for the challenges facing the city of the future. In addition to lectures and workshops, the Lab also hosted performances, exhibitions, and forums. The supporting structure of the 30 m long, 8 m high, and 6 m wide building was made of carbon, a first for temporary construction back in 2011. After its successful assembly in the middle of Manhattan within four weeks, NUSSLI was also commissioned to assemble the Lab in Berlin and Mumbai.
