The Austrian participation “Austria makes sense” shows a holistic approach, that connects people, technology and nature. Standing on a 2400-square-meter plot in the Opportunity thematic area, the pavilion is in close proximity to Switzerland and China. On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs (BMDW) and the Austrian Federal Chamber of Commerce (WKO) and according to the ideas of Querkraft Architekten, NUSSLI Adunic, as general contractor, is constructing the entire pavilion.
About Expo 2020
Under the slogan "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future," EXPO 2020 will take place from October 20, 2020 to April 10 2021 in Dubai, the first time in an Arab and Muslim country. More than 190 countries and organizations present their exhibitions on the three thematic clusters Opportunities, Sustainability and Mobility, which together make up the size of 610 football fields. 25 million visitors are expected, most of them from abroad.
