An alternative venue had to be found while the Bern municipal theater was being renovated. The idea of building a theater cube became more popular than using an existing provisional arrangement. The planning of the Bern Theater Cube, with 480 seats, food service, backstage and technical areas as well as a cloakroom, took less than a year. Thank to a new construction system of NUSSLI, the assembly of the 1,000-square-meter cube took only one month to complete.
NUSSLI's modular system enables temporary structures of any size to be built within a very short period of time, at the most unusual locations, and up to a width of 40 meters without the need for supports.
