Together with Voss+Fischer, PSG and TLD, NUSSLI has implemented the Innovation Hub of building materials producer Holcim. The new showroom at the headquarters in Lyon supports Holcim in communicating its vision of progress and sustainability. As a central point of contact for professionals, customers, and the community, the Innovation Hub offers a unique experience to see first-hand the latest achievements and developments in sustainable construction. The space is designed to show visitors Holcim's specialized construction technologies and circular processes.
From concept to execution
On behalf of Voss+Fischer, NUSSLI implemented the entire brand space based on the design agency's concept – this included execution planning as well as interior and exhibition construction. Challenges such as logistics, where large and heavy exhibits were brought in through the façade, or the integration of Holcim's new CI, including the installation of pathway side elements throughout the building, were mastered. Solutions to this included extensive sourcing of local services and close coordination with Holcim's materials development laboratories.
Innovative materials and technologies
As part of the project, NUSSLI implemented an outdoor product display and designed and built various indoor display areas to showcase innovative materials, concepts, and projects. NUSSLI's extensive expertise in construction allowed it to incorporate the desired high-quality materials and state-of-the-art technologies into the design of the Innovation Hub. The space is designed to show visitors Holcim's ideas and its vision of the path to a more sustainable future. Particular attention was paid to the execution planning to ensure that Holcim's vision is realized in every way. From the choice of materials to the design of the exhibition areas and the integration of multimedia elements, NUSSLI carefully planned and implemented every detail. This created a stimulating atmosphere that invites visitors to immerse themselves in an inspiring environment.
A special highlight in the interior is the interactive exhibit "Hydromedia," in which high-tech materials and their water permeability were made tangible. Thanks to its extensive expertise in construction, NUSSLI was able to integrate the desired high-quality materials and state-of-the-art technologies into the design of the Innovation Hub. From the choice of materials to the design of the exhibition areas and the integration of multimedia elements, NUSSLI carefully planned and implemented every detail.
Many interactive experiences
However, the project is not only a place for knowledge exchange and inspiration, but also a space for interactive experiences. Visitors have the opportunity to experience innovative technologies first-hand, explore prototypes and interact with a wide variety of elements. In this way, the Innovation Hub creates a lively and dynamic environment that enables visitors to discover and understand the potential of sustainable building technologies.
The construction and execution of the Innovation Hub for Holcim is another milestone in NUSSLI's long-standing collaboration with leading companies in the construction and architecture sector. In particular, NUSSLI's expertise and experience contributed to the successful implementation of this groundbreaking project.
