The final match of the cup competition, hosted by the German Football Association (DFB), has been held at the Berlin Olympic Stadium since 1985. The Marathon Gate is located on the western side of the stadium and serves as the entrance to the sports pitch for the athletes. In order to allow more soccer fans to enjoy the final match up close, DFB commissioned NUSSLI to set up a grandstand with 1,750 seats in this gap.
