The Big Air Festival in Chur marked the start of the winter season for the FIS Freeski and Snowboard World Cup. As every year, the famous Hahnenkamm races in Kitzbühel and Lauberhorn races in Wengen attracted thousands of fans who experienced the spectacular downhill runs up close. One of the highlights was the World Cup Finals in Andorra, where the best skiers and snowboarders competed for victory. The European Biathlon Championships in Lenzerheide, the World Cup in Ruhpolding and other winter sports events such as the Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Championships in St. Moritz and the Luge World Championships in Oberhof also provided exciting competitions and enthusiastic spectators. At the SnowopenAir, the stars of 77 Bombay Street and Andreas Gabalier on the NUSSLI stage brought the winter season an unforgettable farewell.
