On 29 April 2020, the building permit was submitted to WBG KOMMUNAL GmbH, which the City of Nuremberg has entrusted with the project management. Now the actual construction site can finally be started. The preparatory work to clear the 25,000 m² grounds have already been completed.
The construction of the new sports and events hall will take approximately eight months. As it currently stands, the hall will be completed in the winter of 2020/21. The NUSSLI team thus faces – as is often the case – major scheduling challenges. With participation of teams from Germany, Switzerland and Austria – which is no simple task, especially now during the current Corona situation – the project is off to a good start.
