Paléo Festival, Nyon
For years, NUSSLI has been a trusted partner of the Paléo Festival in Nyon, providing key elements of the festival’s infrastructure. At the heart of it all is the main stage, where international music stars perform for tens of thousands of festivalgoers. Since 2019, the NUSSLI Jumbo Stage has been used for this purpose. With its generous dimensions, it provides a high-performance platform for large-scale live productions and creates optimal conditions for lighting, sound, video, and stage technology.
The NUSSLI Jumbo Stage for International Music Productions
In 2019, the NUSSLI Jumbo Stage was set up in Nyon for the first time, becoming the new centerpiece of the Paléo Festival’s main stage. The structure combines a large performance area with the technical capabilities required for modern concert productions. Its dimensions and modular design make it possible to adapt the stage to different production requirements and a variety of artists. The result is a professional concert infrastructure that meets both the demands of international acts and the character of this long-standing festival.
More Than Just the Main Stage
In addition to the Jumbo Stage, NUSSLI is handling other key tasks at the festival grounds. These include the control and FOH areas for lighting and sound systems, as well as various other temporary structures. Among other things, NUSSLI is constructing the Gardins Terrace, an area for people with disabilities, a PMI booth, a Swissmilk container, and a Zweifel booth. Thus, NUSSLI’s scope of work extends far beyond the actual stage construction: the various structures create work, lounge, and service areas that are essential for the festival to run smoothly.
Festival Infrastructure for a Complex Site
A festival of this size places special demands on the planning and coordination of the infrastructure. Stages, technical control rooms, retail areas, and gathering spaces must be thoughtfully arranged and safely accessible within a heavily used festival grounds. At the same time, setup and teardown must take place within a tightly defined time frame. To achieve this, NUSSLI combines modular system solutions with precise planning and many years of experience in constructing festival and concert infrastructure.
Long-standing partnership with Paléo
The partnership with the Paléo Festival demonstrates how temporary infrastructure can be continuously developed over many years. Since the NUSSLI Jumbo Stage was first used in 2019, NUSSLI has been part of the setup in Nyon every year. This ongoing collaboration ensures well-coordinated processes and a thorough understanding of local conditions. At the same time, the infrastructure can be adapted to meet new requirements for festival production—from the main stage to the numerous smaller structures throughout the festival grounds.
