In February 2016, a Fed Cup match was held in Hawaii for the first time ever. This makes the island chain in the Pacific the 16th state to host a Fed Cup. The venue of the first round of the 2016 Fed Cub was the Hulua Tennis Center in Holua Resort in Kailua Kona. NUSSLI built a temporary tennis stadium with a capacity of 1,700 spectators for the tournament.
