When the world's best mountain bikers come to Lenzerheide, top athletic performances meet a unique event experience. At the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, NUSSLI transformed the alpine terrain into a flexible and safe stage for athletes, spectators, media, and partners. Fans were able to experience the riders up close as they mastered challenging downhill and XCO courses, spectacular jumps, and fast corners. The event was complemented by additional platforms and areas that effectively showcased the action and made the on-site experience particularly intense.

Action up close

The start and finish platforms formed the technical and visual heart of the event. The finish platform included ramps, towers, and height differences of up to 3.45 meters, which demanded the utmost precision and balance from the riders. The modular constructions made it possible to erect the platforms in a stable, resilient manner while also keeping them close to the audience. Black mesh cladding and anthracite-colored coverings optimized the viewing angles for spectators and TV cameras and gave the track a professional, high-quality appearance.

Optimal visibility on site and at home

Modular grandstand facilities were created for the audience, offering clear lines of sight to the start, finish, and central sections of the track. Stairways, steps, and platforms ensured an orderly and safe flow of visitors. VIP and media areas were strategically positioned to offer partners, sponsors, and journalists optimal visibility and comfort.

The infrastructure was supplemented by TV crane platforms, cable cam towers, and information towers, which enabled live broadcasts, spectacular camera angles, and direction. This allowed all spectators—whether on site or in front of their screens—to follow the entire competition in detail and experience it up close.

Fair and safe competition

To ensure the smooth running of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, jury platforms with integrated control rooms were erected. From these platforms, the organizers were able to centrally monitor and control timekeeping, race scoring, and coordination in real time. The modular designs allowed for flexible adaptation to the uneven terrain of Lenzerheide, ensured stable stability, and guaranteed safe use even in changeable weather conditions.

The construction of the modular start and finish podiums, grandstands, and platforms in alpine terrain presented a particular challenge. NUSSLI mastered it with expertise and flexible construction, creating an action-packed, audience-friendly, and unforgettable mountain bike event.
