Eight-Court Sports Hall, Monheim Am Rhein

As the general contractor, NUSSLI is building Europe's first eight-bay sports hall using rapid construction methods with prefabricated elements. The flexible and versatile sports hall will be completed approximately two years after construction began.
Top Performance
With a sports area of approximately 4,400 m² and the flexible use of its eight sections, it is available to the Berliner Ring School Center for physical education classes and Monheim's sports clubs. A grandstand with 500 seats also makes the hall a meeting place for sports, events, and leisure activities.

Time Savings with Prefabricated Construction
The prefabricated construction method enabled significant time savings compared to conventional construction methods and shortened the construction time. Ongoing school operations and traffic in the surrounding area were only minimally disrupted. The components of the hybrid structure, made of wood, steel, and concrete, weighing up to 41 tons, including 600 wooden elements alone, were delivered by heavy-duty trucks and assembled using a heavy-duty telescopic construction crane.
