Temporary rocket installation on Bundesplatz Bern marking 50 years of the moon landing

Bern celebrated 50 years of moon landing on the Bundesplatz. It's been 50 years since the Swiss flag was first put on the ground of the moon.

In the past 50 years, the University of Bern has been involved in numerous international missions and celebrated therefore, from Friday, June 28 to Thursday, July 4, 2019, together with the population a science festival throughout the city.

For the celebrations on the Bundesplatz NUSSLI built a rocket cube from the inhouse-developed system material. From the outside, it was designed in such a way that it looked like as if a real rocket was standing on the Bundesplatz. Also inside it simulated the interior of a rocket. The temporary rocket provided information about space research.
