November 2025 News NUSSLI completes two temporary stadium projects in Spain and Denmark – sustainable temporary solutions for professional soccer
Within just a few months, NUSSLI has implemented two groundbreaking stadium projects in Europe: modern, temporary arenas for professional soccer have been built in Spain and Denmark. Both Real Zaragoza and Aarhus Gymnastikforening (AGF) are benefiting from sustainable temporary solutions during the construction phases of their main stadiums, which set new standards in terms of speed, quality, and reusability.
For the traditional Spanish soccer club Real Zaragoza, NUSSLI Iberia, together with the construction company MLN Mariano López Navarro, built a temporary stadium for 20,000 spectators – the first of its kind in Spain. The new building was completed in record time: construction began in March 2025, and games were already being played there in June. The facility comprises three seating stands and a main stand covering a total area of 120 × 80 meters. It is fully equipped for professional LaLiga matches, including floodlights, scoreboards, changing rooms, press and VIP areas, catering facilities, and a merchandising shop.
This is the first time a stadium of this kind has been built in Spain. In just over 100 days, we worked with our partner to create a complete venue – precisely planned, implemented on schedule, and realized with virtually no hiccups.
The stadium will be used during the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons and can then be completely dismantled and reused for future projects—a sustainable approach that offers both ecological and economic advantages.
AGF Aarhus continues to play in front of its home crowd
In Aarhus, Denmark, NUSSLI is also ensuring that fans and the club do not have to miss out on home games during the construction of the new stadium. AGF Aarhus' temporary stadium was completed in time for the start of the 2025/26 soccer season. The centerpiece is a premium grandstand with 3,200 seats, including 700 VIP seats, complemented by three TV towers, a catering area, and covered zones for optimal comfort. After only three weeks of construction, NUSSLI delivered a main grandstand, while the three other grandstands were already in place and had been used in previous games. The original main grandstand did not meet the necessary requirements, so NUSSLI replaced it with a premium solution offering significantly higher quality and comfort. The main grandstand plays a central role, as it houses the sponsor areas and VIP guests, thus generating the most important income for the club. The modernization of the grandstand not only improved the experience for visitors, but also strengthened the club's economic base.
Until the opening of the new "Skovens Arena" in 2027, the temporary facility will provide a high-quality venue that guarantees sporting continuity for the club and a genuine stadium atmosphere for the fans.
Sustainable and flexible stadium solutions for European professional soccer
With the projects in Zaragoza and Aarhus, NUSSLI is underlining its leading role in international stadium construction. The two projects show how rapid implementation, high quality, and sustainability can be successfully combined. Thanks to modular systems and precise planning, fully functional stadiums can be built in a very short time and can be efficiently dismantled and reused after use.
