November 2024 News New temporary stadium for Real Zaragoza
Real Zaragoza football club is currently working on two construction projects. Firstly, the home stadium Romadera is being rebuilt and renovated. And in order to maintain match operations during the renovation work, the Spanish second division club is relying on a stadium construction solution from NUSSLI and a construction partner.
As a joint venture, NUSSLI and the Spanish construction company MLN Mariano López Navarro are jointly planning and realizing an innovative temporary stadium as an interim solution for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 seasons - a project with a showcase character in Spanish football!
Alternative stadium with all the trimmings
The interim stadium with a capacity of 20,000 seats will consist of three uncovered stands and one covered stand. The total area of 120 × 80 meters and the other infrastructure as well as a variety of facilities meet all standards for sporting events: Ticket sales, catering, merchandising store, team booths, commentary booths for radio and television, first-aid room, VIP lounge and more - the stadium will offer teams and fans an all-round successful experience.
Quickly constructed venue with a showcase character
The construction method using NUSSLI system material enables rapid construction, subsequent dismantling and a high degree of flexibility with regard to the required equipment. Construction work will begin at the start of 2025 and the first home game in the new, tailor-made stadium will be kicked off after just six months, in August 2025. The temporary stadium will not only ensure that Real Zaragoza can play its home games without interruption, but will also pioneer new solutions in Spain and inspire football clubs in similar situations.
