Arosa Bear Park

The Arosa Bear Park is the new attraction in the Grisons mountains. It is a sanctuary for up to five bears from species-inappropriate husbandry. In addition to a 2.8-hectare enclosure in the most beautiful natural surroundings, a visitor platform and winter habitat for the animals were created. The NUSSLI Group has turned the long-awaited dream into reality. We have constructed a building that will serve not only the visitors, but especially the bears. There are specific animal welfare requirements regarding bear keeping and an escape-proof fence. A big challenge was the terrain with difficult conditions. Access for heavy machinery was tedious and a long, hard winter with lots of snow brought the construction to a halt. Nevertheless, the project has been completed on time for the arrival of the bear.
