The Swiss sailing team Alinghi Red Bull Racing traveled to the Spanish coast ahead of the prestigious America's Cup to prepare for the competition. In just four months, NUSSLI built a team base for the team with all the necessary infrastructure for ideal preparation.
At the America's Cup, one of the oldest and most prestigious sailing competitions in the world, the best sailing teams compete for the coveted title in impressive high-speed yachts. The 37th edition of the America's Cup will take place in the "capital of the Mediterranean," Barcelona.

Function meets design
The base offers everything the team needs for training, planning, and competition preparation: a dedicated sailing simulator room, workshops for sails and masts, a boat hangar, and an outdoor area with a crane system. The first and second floors house technical and administrative offices, meeting rooms, and a publicly accessible showroom with a separate entrance. The highlight is the hospitality area with a bar, lounge, and panoramic balcony – including Michelin-starred cuisine.

Sustainability with Vision
Despite its size, the building is completely demountable and reusable – a successful example of sustainable event architecture. Photovoltaic panels and the central air conditioning system are located on the roof terrace. Three staircases, two elevators, storage rooms, a fitness area, and state-of-the-art infrastructure make the Alinghi base a high-tech headquarters – ready for the battle for the 2024 America's Cup.
