Chemnitz kicked off its year as European Capital of Culture 2025 with a grand opening celebration around the Karl Marx Monument. Thousands of guests celebrated the start of a diverse cultural program – on a stage planned and realized by NUSSLI.
Technology meets monument preservation
The stage was built directly next to the historic Karl Marx Monument – a challenge that required the utmost precision, structural expertise, and implementation in accordance with the monument's preservation requirements. The NUSSLI team mastered the challenging on-site conditions with extensive experience and creativity. The result is a striking, safe stage that is perfectly integrated into the cityscape.
