With its many years of experience in the field of museums and exhibitions, NUSSLI took over the planning and structural implementation of the brand center, creating a perfect combination of history, present and future.
The original name of the Italian automobile manufacturer's Museum in Arese (IT) was "Museo Storico Alfa Romeo." The Museum was first opened in 1976 and closed in February 2011 for renovation and reorientation. Four years later, in June 2015, the museum was reopened with its new name, "La Macchina del Tempo – Museo Storico Alfa Romeo." The opening also served as the debut of the new Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan.
NUSSLI was commissioned by Alfa Romeo with carrying out the project planning and realization of all of the museum's interior fittings. The brand center includes a café, documentation department, bookstore, test track, several meeting rooms, a factory collection for new vehicles and an exhibition. The latter extends over a total of six levels and presents models of the brand history of the automobile manufacturer as well as products and projects in the company's aviation history. NUSSLI completed the entire reorientation of the museum during a construction period of just three months.
