Opening of the sports hall in Albstadt

The doors of the interim sports hall in Albstadt officially opened on November 10. As a high-quality lightweight steel construction, it replaces the demolished Schlossberghalle. After a construction period of around 6 months, it was handed over to the client, the city of Albstadt, at the start of the school year.

Although the interim hall was intended as a temporary solution, it is designed for a longer service life of up to 10 years. Containers on the east and west sides provide space for equipment and storage rooms as well as changing rooms, toilets and showers.

School classes and sports clubs can particularly look forward to the opening. With more space and plenty of natural light, NUSSLI has created a true sports wonderland. The sports hall is designed as a two-court hall but can be used as a three-court hall thanks to its size of 45 by 22 meters and partition curtains.

To make the sports hall visually appealing, graffiti artist Hanna Keul has created a real eye-catcher on the east facade with a sporty girl and plants as a motif.

To mark the successful opening, the NUSSLI team, together with site manager Ulrich Stienen and Udo Baader, Head of Project Management, handed over the symbolic key to Mayor Roland Tralmer and Mayor Udo Hollauer.
