As the general contractor, NUSSLI implemented two connecting buildings on the Nuremberg fair grounds in 2018. The larger connecting building was constructed between the new Hall 3C, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, and the existing Hall 1. It is 60 m long, 16 m wide and has two floors. A smaller building connects Halls 2 and 3C.
The challenging project was implemented in a very short planning and construction period. The connecting building was also to be used as an exhibition area and therefore had to be fully equipped with electricity and water lines, sanitary facilities, and a four-meter-high fire department passage area with automatic gates. A lounge area with natural light was also created.
