Housing - a topic that concerns us all. This is why the "Laborbühne" (lab stage) was created in the summer of 2021 in Stuttgart's "Am Rotweg" neighborhood. As a temporary building, it is meant to provide space for panel discussions, concerts, experiments, research and events on all aspects of living/housing and the design of future living space. The NUSSLI timber production made the pavilion out of wood according to the designs of the architects Schürmann + Witry.
The "lab stage" can be expanded at any time as it is planned according to the modular principle. And it can be dismantled and reused. Commercially available formwork and untreated three-layer boards were used for this. The components are dimensioned in such a way that two people can manage the assembly at a time.
The ideas and momentum gained from the "lab stage" will flow into the planning of the new development of the neighborhood.
