International Broadcast Centre, Olympic Games

The International Broadcast Centre (IBC) is one of the central locations for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) and rights holders of television and radio channels from all over the world will come together here to produce live images and coverage of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
NUSSLI was commissioned directly by Paris 2024 to realise a temporary infrastructure for the IBC at the Parc des Expositions Paris - Le Bourget. On a total area of 55,000 m², the team constructed a 16,000 m² raised floor made of solid wood, which accommodates both work areas and technical facilities for the international broadcasters. One of the biggest challenges was the demanding logistics, which required the transport of over 48 lorry loads of timber.
The realisation was carried out in cooperation with local assembly service providers and took less than three weeks. Particular attention was paid to sustainability: all of the timber used was prepared for reuse or recycling.
Thanks to close cooperation with partners and efficient project management by two experienced NUSSLI project managers, the IBC, the largest construction project of the Olympic Games, was realised on time and to the highest quality.
