The Indianapolis Motor Speedway was built in 1909 as a combination race track and testing facility and, since the beginning of the Indy500, it has been the official venue of the car race circuit. The racing distance is exactly 200 laps or 500 miles. The 500-mile race first took place in 1911 and has become the highlight of the modern-day IndyCar Series. From 1980 to 2015, NUSSLI installed approximately 22,000 temporary seats as well as various tent floors, terraces, fences, media platforms, and platforms for the disabled along the circuit.
