Over an area of 3,800 square meters and on three levels, the state museum tells the 300,000-year history of the State of Hesse. After a complete redesign and restoration in accordance with regulations for historical monuments, the museum was reopened in November 2016. As part of the renovations, NUSSLI built suitable display cases and exhibition "islands" to showcase a large number of highly fragile and valuable exhibits.
