Temporary grandstands for the Davis Cup Final, Spain versus the Czech Republic

The final of the most important team competition in tennis, the Davis Cup, will be held from December 4 - 6 in Barcelona. The team from Spain, which has been the title holder in its own country for the past 16 games, will host the Czech Republic.

NUSSLI will build a temporary grandstand in Palau Sant Jordi (St. George's Palace) in Barcelona for this grand final event. Additional seating for 3,000 will be constructed. Furthermore, VIP boxes to seat an additional 1,080 fans will be constructed within a period of only three days. This tight schedule will be a great challenge for the 16 mechanics. When the winners leave the courts after having been awarded the "ugliest salad bowl", there will be no trace of any of the temporary structures after a period of two days.

For the first time, world ranking list points can be scored at this tournament. It will be exciting to see if the Spanish team will be successful in defending their title with the second on the world ranking list, Rafael Nadal.
