Exhibit stand construction for VW at the NAIAS 2010 in Detroit

The North American International Auto Show 2010 (NAIAS, January 11-24, 2010) will set standards with new trends and visions for innovative and sustainable mobility, despite the tense economy. With around 700 vehicles presented under one trade fair roof and including about 50 premieres, the NAIAS 2010 is optimally equipped to be one of the most important events for the European, Asian, and American automobile markets, once again. Alternative drive systems will head up the show – with special attention paid to electrically driven vehicles.

The construction work for the VW exhibit stand is already running at full speed. After their success at the International Geneva Auto Show in the spring, NUSSLI was subsequently commissioned to build the exhibit stand of the German automobile manufacturer at the Detroit Auto Show. After a construction period of five weeks, a two-floor presentation area with a total of three levels will have been built on an area of around 1,700 square meters. This will include the high-quality surfaces that are characteristic of VW exhibit stands. In addition to the actual stand construction, the scope of service spans electrical installations, light, sound, and media, including procuring all permits from the local authorities. In order to solve the logistic and technical challenges, NUSSLI will draw on an international network of suppliers.

When the NAIAS opens on January 11, the job will still not be finished for the booth constructor. NUSSLI will still be on call during the exhibition. This due to the fact that in between the individual special events held for the press, the industry and charity visitors, and the public days, complex reconstruction works will be taking place at night.
